I know the NHRA drag guys uses something called VHT traction compound. That stuff will pull your shoes right off your feat & could create the adhearsion needed for side by side racing. Anyway you'd think they'd do something to help promote multiple grooves on these type of tracks. It's a shame as that stuff USAC is broadcasting right now is not racing, not even close.
At the USAC sprint race a few years back at Columbus Motor Speedway they applied rosin (sp) to the outer grove and it provided enough grip to allow side by side sprint car racing. I have no idea where they got it or how much it costs but it could fix quite a few no pass pavement racetracks!! I guess you would have to get a good track prep guy like they do on dirt tracks so that yopu would have a good track for the feature.
