We did pretty good until the go-karts went out and laid down so much rubber that I spent the remainder of the weekend with the right rear pretty much the only tire touching the ground. I remember the guy leading the feature for 49 1/2 laps only to run out of full a 1/2 lap short.

Was really fun although I spent my 17th birthday sitting alone in the motel while my crew went to some bar that Bob new about. They did bring me a cheeseburger back as a birthday present!! I will say one thing though in that every one of them were very friendly and willing to help us out any way they could.
What a way to spend your 17th birthday, you are so right the TQ racing members were some of the most friendly fun loving people I have ever known. While your car looks familiar, I can honestly say I remember very little of the racing action from back then. I followed Andy Mackereth at the time, his family and I have been longtime friends since his Dad ran supers. You would also find me cheering for all of the super drivers that tried their hand at Niagara, Dave McKnight, Gary Morton, Joe Gosek as well as Bob & Lou Cicconi and Noki Fonoro from NEMA middets. Actually two or three years ago I ran into Bob Wood that owned the TQ midget Joe Gosek drove here in Az. at a Walmart by my house, just goes to show you what a small world it is. He and his wife were staying at an RV park just a few miles from my house. Enough off topic, glad to meet you.
