To hook your laptop up tp your tv if you have an S-video out of your laptop you can use that then it is normally like the "fn" (function key ) and F8 or F7 whatever has the monitor with on it. (looks like a sqaure with a line on each side of it) or you can go into your desktop properties and try it in their. will have to mess with your settings and such. however if you have a new TV some of them actually have a VGA input to them so all you need is a VGA cable.
