However, what I was NOT told, was that Billy Jr. had raced the season before. To make matters worse, I believe this happened at an out-of-state race, meaning they hauled everything that far for nothing. This was a crappy thing to do to them.

This was behind the scene ******** that I had no knowledge of at that time.
Had I known this before hand, the best I could have done would have been to call them & tell them not to show.

Sorry, but the way the rule book read, that was the best I could have done. I did not know about the previous year.

I hope this public apology to the Puterbaugh family will help smooth things over for my part in this mess. I am only apologizing for myself, not the "powers that be" that omitted the other half of the equation from me.

For what it is worth, I am truly sorry.

Mr. Dwenger you have no need to apologize or even say you are sorry. What happened, happened and i think that everyone has or will sooner or later move on. I know that i have. I have even came back and ran in some Tq races and finally won a race for that Goffs that put me in a car for so long. If you remember they put me in there car when i was 14 when Terry got kicked out so Johnny could still try and win the points. We had the right papers so i could race Tq if we wanted, but when everyone took a vote and didnt want me to race we decided to move on. They did let us run in Florda because of the court papers saying i was legally 18. The first night and second night was started in the back of the heats so there wouldnt be a problem. And to see if i could keep up. We did and made all three shows. The third night terry and oogie told dad that he was not helping me out by putting me in the back of the heats. So he took there advice i won my heat the third night. I was pretty happy about back then. Having alot of pressure not to make a mistake in front of everyone. I also think that running a tq for a year helped me and made me better in a sprint car driver. If people really need to know if umra helps just ask Travis Welpott, Jake Knoke, Tony Stewart ECT ECT... Like i said you have no need to apologize. No one does. During that time i made great friends and i made some enemies and you will get that no matter were you go.
