:O:Was just wondering out of curiousity. With safety in mind for a rear midget
lightweight aluminum axel. Would it be out of the question to straighten the
axel with conventional methods for straightening,then cut the axel in half at
some predetermined point along it's length, "V" groove the edges of both halves
of the axel, then insert a ID tube into the straightened axel, then placing the
axel inside of a gig that prevents warpage/bending then weld along the joint
360 degrees similar to the method they use "pipe" welding, then use a non-
destructive test such as X-raying to test for any voids?
