Much has been said in the racing media about the need to promote in these difficult times with lots of sports options available to fans, but the message doesn't seem to be getting through to a lot of so-called promoters. We have the most exciting sport in the country. I just don't believe that good promotion can't sell it, but you have to do more than print tickets and open the gates.
