A couple years ago, I tried a Raceceiver, I don't remember which model, but it was the one to have at the time, anyway, it was a flat pain in the butt, no memory, no off/on switch, battery might make it thru the night, and never really heard anything on it, that made any sense. At the time, and had for a long time, we had been using the Bearcat, 25 channel scanner, for comunication to the driver, by the scoring people, and it worked well, just a bit bulky, but at least it worked. My question is, are the ones USAC, and some other groups are using, any better than the one I tried? I would certainly hope so, by the time you got to the frequency you needed, the half life of the battery was gone. Thanks! Bob:rolleyes:
