Told ya they started the fastest in back and to keep from dogging qualifying they'd DQ you for besting your time by one second.
From what I understand there were a couple scorers, the promotor and the assistant flagman randomly timing cars. I also was told there were times when guys were intentionally put on the tail for some reasons or another. Smarting off to a official or something.
