First off, I'd like to give a kudos to POWRi for putting on a mid winter show in a relatively large town.
That said, why did folks think they could get any bigger of a track inside a 200' by 85' hockey rink? I mean, 200 feet times two straights is only 400 feet. The ends of the track could be no more than 133 feet across each if you multiply 85 feet by pi (3.14). In other words, about the largest such a track could be is 667 feet, or about two yards longer than an 1/8th mile. (An 1/8th mile drag strip is 660 feet)
