I think that most promotors are single minded enough to not be too affected by what is said, but I would think that if the comments aren't too outlandish they can be used to impliment or improve situations.

Look at what Kevin Briscoe got done with the 100 lap race a few years ago. It seemingly started out as an idea on here and got implimented.

Plus, everyone knows that between Don Moore and I we have solved all of racings biggest problems and USAC, all of the tracks and the Chili Bowl are just using all of our ideas to make themselves better, plus raking in huge profits in the meantime. (Just kidding for those who think I am being serious.)
