Last year I put a carbon fiber glove on and a guy held a blow torch to my hand, I felt nothing. The brakes on your car ect. None of these missions pay off imediately but many pay off tons more than their initial cost, both in income and lives saved.

I agree with everything you are saying but the payoff. I say that we have east Asia pay for the space program and we take over the manufacturing. We are coming up with technology for others to build and profit from?
