I just thought I might add a few comments to my post above. I don't mean to go on about KO's remarkable ability, but I do enjoy his non-racing commentary almost as much as I enjoy his reporting on races at Kokomo or Gas City, or about the drivers, characters and teams that makeup Indiana's sprint car racing community. I particularly like his memories of growing up around the Indy 500, thoughts of his father and family, the different seasons that affect his race agenda, travel and food stops to whatever race track, thoughts about the fairer sex and his work. He weaves all things about life into some truly interesting and amazing sprint car reporting. I realize that his comfortable style of story telling reminds me of my own personal memories as I get older and continue to reminisce. I wonder if he ever purchased that tee shirt for his nephew while at Perris? :checkered:
