I too, was fortunate enough to see this man excell in the sport. From my early childhood growing up & tagging along with Dad (an official & flagman), (Fri,Sat & Sunday nites through the racing seasons of late 50's and on), he was of hero of hi status to us young track kids. When we would play races with our little cars, there was always a dispute over who's car got to be Moughan's. He truly set a great example for us. Many of today's drivers out there could benefit by having some of his "Gentleman" qualities. I know that the 50's central Illinois race track kids did.
God bless his family & friends.
Rest in Peace, Gentleman Jim.
