The renovation in my mind raised the bar on the type of facility that it is. It went from a local weekly race track to more of a regional type facility that is capable of running a wider variety of shows. I think you will see in the next few years that it will host different events with more bigger shows and may even become a special events track only. Dave is truly a promoter and not just a race organizer, so I am sure he will not stand still and keep everything status quo.
I also liked the old Burg and thought the racing there was very good. The track prep has a lot to do with how people perceive how the racing has gone. I have seen everything from dry slick to a cowboy track and Lawrenceburg seems to have been all of them at one time or the other. I hope that in the future Dave and the crew will be able to have a consistent surface that renders a lot of side by side racing through out the pack. All of this is of course just my opinion and I know very little.:O: I have never met Dave and don't pretend to know what his plans are for the new Burg.
