One exception would be if there is a safety issue for the driver. Another exception is that a driver should never be in their car during refueling. On track refueling is normally not allowed and would require a prior arrangement or permission from MSCS officials.
He was at the driver's meeting and as always this is stated to all of them. That was his own fault. He could've stood up and bent over the roll cage to look around the car to see if anything was visibly broken, but as soon as his feet touched the ground he was done! Maybe he'll pay attention next time! Things break, but rules are rules.
Also glad to see no one got accused of rough driving against him like the night before at J'ville on 2 separate occasions with 2 different drivers..now that was a crock!
So If he would have climbed over the roll cage and slid down the the hood and stayed on the front bar and looked it over then crawed back up and over the Roll cage and sit down and buckled up and never touched the ground he would have been alright Must not forget that one :doh:
