I think you're forgetting at least one track. And I'm not bashing Bloomington because I like the place, but why is it whenever I go or see clips online of features there, the place is black and slick? Sure it may still stay racy with a bottom and a cushion, and I guess that it's racy is all that matters, but is hard and slick "doing a good job"?
And what's so hard to understand about the Terre Haute schedule including track prep prior to the start of the midget A? Sure, whatever digging and watering they do will more than likely be gone 1/4 of the way in, but what do you expect? It's a one hundred lap race! And to think, they used to run it in the daytime! Do you think the mofo laid rubber or was dusty back then? You bet.
I have yet to see why this is an issue. The modified race got rained out, so they combined two races. As a couple people pointed out earlier, if you don't want to see the mod preliminaries, come later. Of course, if they weren't starting early, everyone would be ******** about getting home late. Like so many other topics on this board, it's a lose-lose situation.
