I'm a die hard sprint car (non-wing) fan from Indiana that for some unkown reason decided to move to East Tennessee about five years ago. Yes I now walk among the lovers of the tin cans and believe me a night at an east TN race track is like going to fun fest on a weekly basis. Can you imagine Fun Fest every Saturday Night. Super Late Models, Limited Late models, Super Streets, Street Stocks, Ponies, Modified Ponies, Front wheel drive, Modified Front wheel drive, and (MY FAVORITE) Super Modified Front Wheel Drive. Everything Hot Laps. Then everything qualifies. Then we have a 30 to 45 minute intermission. Then we run features in reverse of how we hot lapped and qualified meaning that the Super Late Models are last and usually run their feature sometime after 11:30 p.m. and before 1:30 a.m. Oh how I miss three classes of cars, heat races, consi's, features and home by midnight. Oh and by the way if you mention non wing sprint cars in this area they look at you like you've got three heads. And you wonder why they sleep with family around here.
