As with many of you here I never met Dwight, but wish I had.
We spent many nights at the same races at the now closed Islip Speedway on Long Island and as far as I can remeber we never crossed paths.
Islip was a big part of my youth and when it closed it took a big chunk of my youth with it.
We traded racing stories via message boards and PM's on those boards and Dwight brought back many great memories from my childhood, for that I am gratefull.
We were to meet at Mansfield in August but I could not make the trip this year, I wish I had.
It looks like Dwight touched many people here.
Rest in peace Dwight and thanks for sharing so many great stories.
