What they are trying to do Superduke, is try to get an Organization like USAC or MSCS to mandate this engine therefore the guys on the local scene will buy the engines too. But, like the mandatory DT-suck3 the cost after everybody HAS TO BUY IT will go up to what ever they want to charge for them like the tire is now.

Its a great idea but seems to me like it would hurt a lot of engine builders who rely on all the sprint car business. Not to mention the chain reation to engine parts people.

The best series I have ever seen was in Wilmot WI where everybody had to run a 1 3/4" header, spec RR tire (although I hate) and weight rule. There is just no way to cheat on a header rule.
