WD40 the inside or your hoses when you clean them.

DO NOT EVER LUBE ANY THING WITH PETROLEUM JELLY IN AN ALCOHOL BASED FUEL SYSTEM.

If the car is new to you, you may want to take the tank off and wash the bladder out with the garden hose.
