This ain't a personal attack on Daron, because I don't know him. But from a racing standpoint, I think what he's done over the last three years or so is a true example of what is wrong in sprint car racing today. When you drive over your head like he's consistently done, yet there are no repercussions b/c of daddy's deep pockets, that's a problem. Young guys need to have respect for their equipment and learn to take care of it, then go fast. All Daron learned to do the first couple years was the second part of that sentence.
He did tone it down a little in the 10 car, but I know if I owned one and was on any kind of budget I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole at this point.
Although I am a hugh supporter of Brady Short now, it's Daron Clayton that pulled me into this sport two years ago....I attended a local show at Tri-State and saw him come from the very back to the lead in five laps..... Seeing that kind of entertainment was just unbelievale to me, and I have been a huge fan of NON WING sprint car racing ever since..... so don't tell me that Daron's driving style is bad for the sport!!!!! Don't dilsike him just because he has more... a lot more balls then just about anyone out there!!!!
I would have thought that he would be at Tri-State Speedway on Labor Day for the MSCS show..... probably his favorite track??? Right or wrong??????
