While I can’t say I was there for 305s personally, but if it’s the Sprintacular I guess they are a legit support. Of the 5 divisions running this wknd only 2 were sprint cars. On Saturday cars were on track by 6:30 and by 8:25 pm not one competitive racing lap was turned. Racing against a clock by yourself does not count sorry. As mentioned it was hot and sunny and the day after a race. One might think less cars the second nite as opposed to the first nite might be a good idea. With all of those hot laps and TT in the blazing sun the track never had a chance. I really considered posting on Saturday morning about how well the show on Friday was run. Good surface until the very end when it was on the bottom. Efficiently run with support divisions mixed in to keep what the majority of the crowd came to see moving. Being this track is in USACs hands I was pleasantly surprised. Good thing I waited as Saturday was more like I expected for them. The Friday prelim that only paid 6g was a perfect model for how it should be done. The Saturday 10g show was a shame. People were leaving and didn’t get their moneys worth. As always the racers and teams usually make it good no matter the circumstances. It’s really just a shame when the organization that sanctions these guys, gets a hold of a facility and can show the world how to do it and the main nite turned out like that. I don’t know much about Joe so to say I want him back would be a mistake. Leave that to those who know him. Congrats to Epperson racing on their win. ISW 25 is next. Hopefully each nite is a good one.
