Were it a bigger track, they likely would have needed the helicopter for transport. Dahms barrell rolls were very nasty.
Yes - the modern midget races are exciting but man I'm glad the cars are much safer than days of old. And being on the smaller track helped.

If the guys raced like that in the 90's and prior there'd been a lot more hospital visits & funerals than the already high # there were in those days.
