The charter money replaces point fund and tow money. They will average 2 years of point finishes to calculate what position of charter money you get. So i guess the benefit is you will know how much you will be getting at the start of the season and will be paid through the season. Bummer is you win the title you won't get a larger sum at the end of the season just will bring your average up to calculate the next years amount.
