The progression from sprint cars to NASCRAP and winded cars has been the norm for quite a time. And the demise of USAC has been there all that time. But every time a Larson or Bell or Sunshine moves on a new crop od superstars show up.
People always say USAC is an Indiana thing but when USAC or back when the SCRA comes to Ok, Ks, Mo area stands were packed to the point that one year the fire Dept made Lakeside quit selling tickets.
Biggest problem is sprint car fans come for the racing. Most NASCRAP, winged car, and late model fans come for the party, a lot of them I ask don't even know who won the race the next day.
USAC is way behind in their marketing strategy.
