Luke Wackerlin set a new track record at Lincoln Illinois Speedway tonight with a lap of 13.340 seconds. This bested the record set by Parker Jones of 15.539 set earlier this year in May.

By comparison the USAC Midget track record set by Tanner Thorson is 13.616.

Of course this is being done by engines that are production based and cost half of what the purpose built engines cost.
