While trying to leave for the night, a D2 car owner went down the push off chute in the hauler/ trailer. He came within a few yards of actually making it all the way on to the track. Thank God sprints were under caution which allowed the track workers to cross over from the infield and stop him.

Don’t know why but he seemed to be unable to back it up as directed and just kinda froze. Started to come down the chute again before someone had to physically get in and back it out for him. They had medical checking him out in the pits before he’d be allowed to leave. The whole thing was just bizarre.
