On the Pavement Pounders Facebook page, they had an interview with Series Director Jared Owen of the 500 Sprint Car Tour group. In the interview he explained the booking of race dates.

"We did a survey with our teams the last couple races of the season. The teams were really big on no more than twelve. Ten to twelve was kind of the sweet spot. Some of our teams also compete in USAC Silver Crown pavement events. That’s another 6 races. Its starts to become almost twenty races a year for these teams. That’s a lot. Were happy with where we’re at and the structure.
