My parents were from Ripley co. So the Burg was the track my father went to as a young man. we would sometimes go when we went back to visit relatives. And growing up hearing about Robbins, Gaines,ect. The old track was a connection that my dad got to both experience. This was in the Mel Johnson era (Jeff Thickstun memorial ,Hoosier fall classic ect.)
