As Christmas and New Years are both on Saturday's this year...the only other options were Sunday/Monday; Thursday/Friday' or completely mid-week...none of which have been overly successful in the past. The decision to push up a week for a year, was done with input from many drivers. The pattern changes in 2022 and it should slide back where it's traditionally been.

On the plus side...being removed from family gatherings and parties...may ADD people.
