I’ve used this analogy before but I think it bares repeating. The world 100 is one of the biggest dirt track races in the world because a lot of tracks shut down so their fans and racers could go. And the racers who didn’t want to try to race went as fans. Now it’s not so much that way anymore but the race is established as the biggest event at ELDORA and probably in the top 3 dirt track races in the world. Here in the non wing meca, we complain that there’s a 20k to win race that interferes with the locals.
