Ultimately this would probably end up like the Cart/Irl split. Some move on while some stay. The schedule would be longer with more events because it would be sprints only. Usac has too many series and admits it’s not in the promotion business. That would be advantage WRG. It appears from a far Usac is a club and WRG is a business and that’s how it’s run. It would be difficult to start a series and expect the majority of top teams to leave unless it was guaranteed contracted money. I believe WoO dealt with this twice when USA and NST were started. Things always seem to go back to what was. This is an interesting idea as it’s my belief the sprint car series has a lot of talent and the racing is generally really good. Until they stop showing up why would Usac change what it does? They keep on going because guys keep coming back. It could grow but then the teams would need to expand their operations and maybe they aren’t willing to move on to that level. I’d like to see these guys run for more money and be promoted as the best in the country. Unfortunately that’s just not how it is.
