This part of your message is misleading. It’s from one of the comments on Facebook. Tony Elliott is not the new promoter. The person who does the track’s Facebook page was responding to a poster named Tony Elliott who commented that he hopes the new promoter doesn’t cancel after a few sprinkles. That’s what led to the comment from the track Facebook operator that said “Be sure to still show up with a bad forecast or rain in the area.” Attempting to be smart and shut up the person that posted the comment, but it is a feeling shared by many who have supported the track, and the owner Harold Hunter, for many years.
Many drivers will not return until the points payout from 2019 is made. The promoter leasing the track may face an uphill battle if Harold doesn’t make that payout.
