If tracks were to report a sales tax on every ticket & pit pass sold that would add up to a substantial sum each year. With cash you can dodge that. As tight as the margins are for some facilities that could be a make or break deal.

If tracks refuse to offer an electronic means to pay then the least they could do is put an ATM or two on premises.

The days of "cash is king" are quickly coming to an end, sadly.
