What a great conclusion to the first week of ISW last night at Kokomo. I won't bore anyone with details since it has been discussed in length here already. I have replayed it over and over again and I am sure I will be doing so for some time. I think they call that a "classic".
However, I do want to give the O'Conner family a great big hand :applaud: for taking a big risk and buying Kokomo Speedway a number of years ago and turning it into THE sprint car track in Indiana right now. Not taking anything away from other tracks but the improvements they have made make this a great place to watch a sprint car race. One thing I want to point out is the integrity of the catch fence. Last nights flips could of had far different results had they not spent a considerable amount on building it right. Thankfully everyone walked away with only damaged equipment and not anything more.
Lawrenceburg has been getting much of the attention lately since they have completely changed the track. I enjoyed the racing there as well this week and hope to see much more in the future. Between these two tracks, the bar has been raised and some of the other owners/promoters need to step up as well.
I enjoyed seeing a number of IOW folks this week and look forward to seeing some more during the rest of the action.
