In his autobiography Smokey Yunick devotes a fair amount of time and space to a period during his life when he was visited by a recurring dream that included what he referred to as the Indy Bull. IIRC the Bull resided in turn #1 of The Speedway. The Bull impressed upon Smokey in these dreams that he and The Speedway cut no one slack. You're either good enough/fast enough or your not. I believe ol' Smokey liked that Bull.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
