Richie had a long day

It's amazing and I know it's been going on for a few years. But we have a field that any driver on any night can win. Yes, sometimes it seems like a couple dominate now and then, but this is the foughest field USAC has ever had. Some of these guys have been racing sprints since 14 and against each other most of the years ince.. The equipment throghout the field is so close a minor tweek in the right direction can make all the difference.

I've been following since the 70s and for most of those years you could usually choose from five or less that would be taking the W. I wouldn't count out five or less from this field and one's there purely for fun.
