And you made my point by saying it would be a one-off. I can still go to the 500 every year, sitting in some of the best seats in the house, not in the top ring in the corner of the end zone. And I beg to differ that the racing was lackluster. You just have to know what you're watching, an endurance event at over 200 MPH. Someone who loves Silver Crown racing (so do I) should understand that concept. Very few previous runnings have come close to the intensity of the past few years, even the "classics" that live in our memories didn't have the sheer volume of action. The Brickyard is lackluster; I can walk to the track and I haven't even thought about going in the 9 years I've lived here. I'll never miss another 500.

First, we know what we're watching.
Second, it's good that you that you understand that, as much as we all love it, the Indy 500 is not remotely in a class with the Super Bowl in regards to overall interest regardless of what the numbers are in reference to the attending audience. That logistics and supply and demand due to being held in a different city and a much smaller venue every year along with heavy corporate involvement and the gambling aspect make it nearly impossible for the average sports consumer to attend it every year. The parallel is nonexistent.
The third and most pertinent aspect of the conversation is that our particular seat location has gone higher in price per face value to the tune of 61% since our 2013 renewal in spite of demand being flat or regressive except for 1 major milestone year. And I further reiterate, the 61% figures out to over 10% a year. Was the 2018 500 experience 50% better and more enjoyable than in 2013? Will the 2019 experience be 61% better than 2013? If you think so I'd be interested in exactly what all has made the experience that much more exciting and enjoyable. Our seats are in exactly the same location, we can still see less than 1/2 of the track and the racing this year was indisputably less exciting and enjoyable.
Not much more that can be said.
