I was fortunate enough to attend a couple of the Calcutta dinners in the middle/late 70’s thanks to my late FiL. In that time period they were held in the Hulman Center at ISU. There was some serious money that was spent at the Calcutta’s during that time. The covered grandstands were reserved seating and by the late 70’s were going for around $6-7/seat if I remember correctly. The Hulman Classic was usually a sellout during the 70’s. Fun times!
