I was a confirmed member of the "dirt only for Silver Crown" club until I attended a
Copper Classic at PIR in the early 90s. Since that event, Grandma Kim and I have witnessed the
traditional SCs on pavement at Phoenix, Memphis, Pikes Peak, IRP, Richmond, Orlando, and Gateway. Almost all of those events produced good races. Unfortunately, chances are slim that we will have an opportunity for any SC events at Gateway or Memphis again, and Orlando and PPIR are gone.
