the age requirements eased up a little over the past couple seasons but they are still tough. they laid down some pretty interesting rules the last time we were there. stuff like if the unused excess was cut off your belts, you either had to replace them or not run. anything but foam mud covers would not be allowed at the show later in the season. all pushlock fuel fittings had to be hose clamped, if you used mud covers at the last show, you had to duct tape the zeus buttons.....and they came around and looked at everyones car.
during the feature, they had a red and my car was stopped right at the track entrance. my driver was screaming for tearoffs...i hauled ass back to the trailer and got a sleeve and shot back to the pit gate where i was informed that i, nor anyone else was allowed to give them to my driver....as he sat there no more than 8 feet from me....in the heat of the moment, i kinda snapped and went off on the state police inspector standing there...i told him that for all the hype about the supposed safety rules, you wont allow me to give these to my driver so he can see safely for the remainder of the race.....he said no....i told him that was the most hypocritical thing i have heard in quite a while...fired up the 4 wheeler and left....
luckily...when he showed up at my trailer after the feature...i ignored him till it started pouring rain and he left....but something tells me that i have not seen the end of him :angry-smiley-007:
