I was there at The Chili Bowl that night. The starting field was LOADED in '97.

IIRC The Gasman put on one hell of a show trying to get in the A-main from the B. The Gasman didn't make it but he put on a show for the ages and instantly made me a huge Gasman fan. I am still to this day!
