There are a number of factors that go into deciding to quit racing. Someone told me once the higher the level of racing the more it feels like a job and less like a hobby. I can attest to that......five days of my week involved working on the car or being at the track. At some point you have to decide if it's worth it to spend thousands to win hundreds, not to mention the risk to life and limb. After 10 years of quarter midgets, midgets and sprints I was burned out and was no longer enjoying racing. I miss the time I spent with my son and watching him race, but I don't miss how racing basically had taken over my life.
