Gotta say that was one of the most interesting unique races I've ever seen. Also first sprint car race I've ever been held before a complete sell out crowd.

Part of that Crowd on the back straight all in orange thanks to Ken (CincyKen) Doran Racing) The Hoffmans etc. They ended up giving away about 30 tickets, including the one extra I had to walk ups. Gave me a T Shirt (And actually had one that would fit me) and it turned into a awesome time.

It was pretty clear there were about five Fast the entire race. Smoke made up a ton of positions on their first pit stop moving from about 20th to 5th before falling back a bit. I don't know what the strategy was but from about lap 350 on Smoke was as fast or faster than anyone actually unlapping himself from Swanson to be only two laps down due to a late push truck on the second stop which they lost two. Clear to me is how probably a combo of things with Smoke was. Early he didn't venture top side. Didn't lean on other cars much to gain position but from about lap 350 on he was flat flying. Either he got the feel of it, the car got better or didn't fall off as much or both.

Hamilton finished two laps ahead Santos on lap 498 and Smoke also on 498 about half a lap back from Santos..

Not a good day at all for Pierce Racing as AP ended up flipping down the back straight. Later Nemier backed it into a barrier in turn three totaled the car and I think the motor is probably toast too as it reved hard when he hit.

This was only my third pavement sprint car race ever. I ran up to IRP the night Staab won in 88 which was very cool and the racing was actually pretty good. Did a Winchester show that I honestly didn't like (Liked the close racing of the stock cars that day better) and last night.

Have to say, Greatest spectical in sprint car racing, Little 500 Probably. I actually liked it a lot.
