After getting several requests and looking at our lineup and anticipated car count, we are going to add Hornets to our lineup for this Friday April 14th.
We are also going to try something else a little different. Since we will be running Hornets last all night as the added class... The hornets don't even need to be here until 7:15. We will have a sign-in sheet and pill draw at the pit shack when you arrive. You can still get here early if you wish, but you don't have to.
Last week we made you get here by 6 to draw a pill and then ran Hornets last all night. This week we are going to skip Hornet hot laps and let you not have to spend so much wasted time in the pits. The Hornet feature will run last.
We've been thinking about working on a way to not force every class to be here by 6:00, and perhaps stagger hot laps in order to give guys who live a little farther away time to get here. This will give us a chance to test something like that with the Hornets this week. Down the road we are thinking of text or web based sign-in.
BTW, We'll post full show info later tonight, but Admission is $12, Ages 11-18 $7, Kids 10 and under Free. We will open the pits around 4:15. Grandstands open at 5:00. Staff Meeting in Infield at 5:55, Pill draw closes at 6. Drivers Meeting 6:10, Hot laps 6:20, Racing at 7:00.
