being a lifelong SOD fan and former Michigander i can say this combination works for this group. Most of the tracks in Michigan lack traction, so huge horsepower will make the car hard to drive. Also, these races don't pay big bucks which is another key to keeping teams in check spending a ton of money to win $1,200-$1,500 just doesn't work out. The competition is good and with an open set of rules anyone can race.
I wish more groups would consider less rules, it makes thing real simple.
