I have been checking the Anderson website and there has been little to no information about the race.
Does anyone here know how many cars are going to show? Are many of the big names from USAC going to be there? Any of the Little 500 regulars going to try?
Thanks for the information, I have been reading this site everday for about a month and it is one of the few forum sites that has tons of information with out all the crap you find on others
First of all welcome to the IOW board. Glad that you found the IOW even if it was by accident.
I spoke with Rick Dawson, Anderson Speedway owner, last week and he said that the interest in the Anderson 400 was exceptionally high. He indiciated to me that it was from both a fans perspective as well as car owners and drivers. I am sure that the first year will have some "feeling out" but since USAC is running on that Thursday night alot of the teams will already be in the area. I am not aware of any midget races that are scheduled against the 400 either.
I would expect a large turnout. With the Little 500 now completed, I would expect to see some news releases from the speedway in the near future announcing teams that are expected. I plan on being high up in turn 4 watching an exciting race.:thumb
