Drove up to Reading, Pa to see the 7/31/71 USAC race won by Larry Cannon in the Hoffman #71. We went up a day early just to catch the mods on the flat 1/2 mile. Rained out , (that's bad). There was some kind of fair going on with about 6 different beer stands (that's good). Each had a different food specialty (sea food, chicken, burgers, etc.) and each had different live music (rock 'n roll, country, polka, etc.).

Never made it back for a mod race. Are these the kind of cars we would have seen but for the bad weather? If so, I hate that we missed them. Who might we have seen driving them?
