All cars draw for heat races. Hot Lap with Heat Race group.

8-lap Heat Races accumulating finish and passing points (per the USAC system listed in rule book). Points based on lineup at original “one-to-go.”

10-lap Qualifying Races (lined up from heat race points with top-six in each race inverted…high point man starts 6th in 1st Qualifier, etc.

Top 16 in overall points transfer to feature, starting straight up.

12-lap Semi-Feature lined up straight-up by overall points (17-all). Top 6 transfer to back of Feature.

30-lap Feature. Provisionals added to the back.
