I agree and I disagree. I agree that we are getting to many open wheel classes, but where can the adverage 7am-3pm worker go race an open wheel car at the same track. The adverage guy can not make the Wed. night shows to run the cheaper focus or kenyon midgets. Plus they do not run at the same place every week. Most fans do not really consider these 2 series when thinking about open wheel because you will only see them a few times during the summer. Ok so lets look at a full size midget. Where are you going to run a full size at weekly? The wed. night series is the closest to haveing a home track, but they still move around. Sprint cars they have several tracks that you can run at weekly. I do not think modifieds are very good feeders either. I think DK is tring to be a feeder series, but there scheduling is really keeping the car count down. Its hard to get out of work at 3pm and make it, its almost impossible if you get out of work any later than 3pm.
